Our cosmetology program is designed to give you a broad foundation in beauty services. You will learn technical skills, professional services, business-related information, and client care.
Cosmetology school includes more than learning beauty techniques. You also build professional habits, communication skills, and confidence through a mix of classroom learning and hands-on practice.
1
You begin by learning theory, safety, sanitation, professional expectations, and foundational beauty concepts.
2
Watch experienced educators demonstrate techniques, tools, and professional workflows used in real salon and spa environments.
3
As you progress, you will practice techniques in hair, nails, skin care, makeup, and other cosmetology services.
4
You will participate in supervised cosmetology services while working in the clinic. This helps you practice client communication, service preparation, sanitation, timing, and technical skills in a school environment.
5
Prepare for licensure with focused training, mock exams, and review sessions designed around state board requirements.
6
You will also receive instruction in business and job-related information to help them understand professional expectations in the beauty industry.
Cosmetology Training Center uses Paul Mitchell products during classroom and clinic training. You may also be introduced to other professional product lines through outside educators and special classes.
This gives you the opportunity to learn about different products, tools, and techniques used in salon environments.
Paul Mitchell products are also available for purchase in the clinic.

We understand that many students are balancing school with work, children, and other responsibilities. Our cosmetology program is scheduled for 25 hours per week. This schedule may help you pursue cosmetology training while still making time for your personal responsibilities.
Cosmetology school is an investment in your education. Our team will walk you through current tuition, fees, required supplies, payment options, and program disclosures so you can make an informed decision.
Before enrolling, you are encouraged to review all program costs and disclosures.

After completing the required training and meeting applicable state licensing requirements, cosmetology graduates may pursue a variety of beauty industry paths.
Career opportunities can vary based on licensure, experience, location, employer requirements, and other factors.
The Cosmetology program is 1500 clock hours, which you will complete in as little as 60 weeks. How long it takes to complete the training will depend on your attendance and progress, but we offer family-friendly hours to help you keep momentum with your training. The admissions team will share current class times and the next available start date.
Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. Start with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), then meet with our team to review options such as Pell Grants, Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans, and payment plans. Some students also pursue outside scholarships or state resources. We’ll help you compare pathways so you can choose an approach that balances your budget and timeline.
Your kit is designed to mirror tools you’ll use in a salon and typically includes shears, clippers/trimmers, combs/brushes, sectioning tools, hot tools for finishing, mannequins, and core product supplies — plus access to our eBook. Exact contents can change. You’ll receive the current inventory list during enrollment. Using professional tools from day one helps your clinic practice feel like real shop work.
Classes are scheduled on weekdays to support family and work responsibilities, and the school is closed on weekends and major holidays. Specific day hours are set by the campus and may be updated from time to time. Attendance and effort are key to your progress, so we’ll help you set a schedule you will follow consistently. Ask the Admissions Team about class times.
After you build core techniques in the classroom, you will transition to live-client services on the clinic floor under supervision. Many students begin seeing guests early in their training, so skills move from practice to real-world quickly. The exact timing depends on your progress and readiness. All services are provided by students under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Getting started with the cosmetology program at Cosmetology Training Center is straightforward. Our admissions team will walk you through each step and answer your questions along the way.
