Create a Financial Plan That Fits Your Life

Most students use some form of financial aid! At Cosmetology Training Center, we’ll help you explore your options so you can focus on your training, not worry about your debt.

Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. Make an appointment with us today to start making a financial plan.

Your Path To Funding Your Beauty Training

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA®
Go to the FAFSA website to complete and submit your application. Our school code is: 017096

We’ll help you compare options that may include federal grants, federal Direct Loans, and an in-house payment plan. Borrow only what you need, and choose a plan that fits your goals and timeline.

Common Financial Aid Options

  • Federal Pell Grant: Need-based aid that doesn’t require repayment. Eligibility depends on your FAFSA® information and enrollment status.
  • Federal Direct Subsidized Loans: Federal student loans that must be repaid with interest. Subsidized loans are need-based, and the government may pay the interest while you’re in school at least half-time.
  • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans: Federal student loans that must be repaid with interest. Unsubsidized loans are not need-based, and interest begins accruing as soon as you get them.
  • VA Benefits: The Veterans Administration provides benefits for eligible Veterans. Veterans and dependents of veterans must establish their eligibility by contacting the VA.
  • State & Community Resources: Examples include:
    1.) Louisiana programs (e.g., TOPS)

While your financial aid package can help bring down the total cost of your tuition, it’s normal to have to pay for some of your training out-of-pocket. To make this more affordable, Cosmetology Training Center offers affordable payment plans. We can divide your remaining balance into monthly installments to make it easier to pay the remaining cost. Terms can vary, so ask the Financial Aid office for details.

Financial Aid FAQs

What is the FAFSA® and why does it matter?

The FAFSA® is the federal application that determines your eligibility for grants and loans. It produces a Student Aid Report that schools use to assemble your financial aid package.

When should I apply for financial aid?

Submit the FAFSA® as soon as it opens for your academic year and update it annually while enrolled. After your FAFSA® is processed, we’ll review the next steps.

Can I combine state resources with federal aid?

In many cases, yes. Depending on eligibility, students may layer federal aid with state programs (such as TOPS). We’ll help you review your options and help you determine the best financial package options.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. We can discuss a monthly payment plan that divides the remaining tuition that financial aid doesn’t cover. Plans vary, but we’ll explain current terms to help keep costs manageable.

CTC is by FAR the best school in Acadiana. Amongst the highly experienced teachers, the respectful staff and the very well-trained students… it would be difficult to find anything in comparison. Highly recommend for both clinic work & career choice!

AMBER B

I’m a very proud graduate. CTC gave me the fundamentals and allowed me the opportunity to take what I learned and develop my own style. I absolutely love being in the beauty industry. CTC is an amazing school, and I’d choose it all over again.
